Landscape Design

Landscape Design · Utah County

Landscape design and construction, under one roof.

DECOR is a design-build firm: we design your landscape and build it, so the vision that leaves the drawing board is the one installed in your yard. For 22 years we've planned and constructed outdoor spaces across Utah County — grading, hardscape, planting, lighting, and water features considered together as one cohesive plan, previewed with 3D renderings and drone overlays before a shovel hits the ground.

What's included

Site planning & grading

Full-property layout, drainage, and grading — the foundation every other element is built on.

Hardscape & masonry

Patios, walkways, retaining walls, and stonework that define how you move through the space.

Planting & horticulture

Plant palettes chosen for Utah's climate and your site's sun, soil, and water.

Landscape lighting

Layered lighting that extends the yard into the evening and highlights the architecture.

Water features

Pools, spas, ponds, and fountains integrated into the overall design rather than added on.

3D rendering & drone overlay

Photorealistic renderings and aerial overlays of your property so you see the finished design before construction.

Common questions

Do you handle both the design and the construction?

Yes — DECOR is a true design-build firm, which means the same team designs your landscape and builds it. During design we produce a complete plan set, photorealistic 3D renderings, and a drone overlay of your actual property so you can see grading, hardscape, planting, lighting, and water features resolved together before construction starts. Then our own crews build it. Because design and construction live under one roof, there's a single point of accountability from the first sketch to the finished yard — no handoff between a designer and a separate contractor, and no surprises where the two don't line up. It's how we've worked for over 22 years across Utah County.

What does a full landscape design include?

A complete DECOR landscape design treats the whole property as one cohesive environment rather than a list of separate features. It covers site planning and grading (the foundation everything else sits on), hardscape and masonry like patios, walkways, and retaining walls, planting chosen for Utah's climate and your site's sun and soil, layered landscape lighting, and water features such as pools, spas, and fountains integrated into the overall plan. You approve it through photorealistic 3D renderings and a drone overlay of your own property before a shovel hits the ground, so the design you sign off on is the one that gets built.

What areas do you serve for landscape design?

DECOR designs and builds across Utah County and the Wasatch Front. We work regularly in American Fork (where our studio is based), Highland, Alpine, Draper, Lehi, Pleasant Grove, Lindon, Vineyard, Mapleton, Spanish Fork, South Jordan, and Cottonwood Heights, plus the surrounding communities. Each of those cities has its own landscape-design page with local projects, and because we're a single American Fork–based team rather than a franchise, the same designers and crews handle your project wherever you are in the area.

How do we get started?

It starts with a consultation. We walk your property with you, talk through how you want to use the space, your style, and your budget, then scope the project before presenting a design. From there we develop the plan set, 3D renderings, and drone overlay so you can see the finished landscape before committing to construction, and once the design is approved our crews build it end to end. You can start by sending a note through our contact page or calling us — we typically follow up by phone within a day to set up that first walkthrough.
